Storage Devices and RFID Applications in Healthcare

To Round It Off...

Storage Device
Indeed, the types of storage devices mentioned are not ubiquitous and widely used in the healthcare industry as compared to software programmes such as Patient Archiving Communications System (PACS) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) in securely storing patients' data and reports as well as physicians' diagnoses. However, some of these devices may be required in certain situations and increasing our awareness about how these devices work and their uses may enhance the efficiency in the workflow of the situation. Nevertheless, the drawbacks derived from some devices cannot be overlooked. We have to be careful in selecting the types of storage devices we wish to employ for a certain task so that we are not encountered with undesired consequences which may or may not be reversible.

RFID Application
From all the research that we have done, with come to the conclusion that RFID is indeed very beneficial to the healthcare industry. However, with such advancement in technology, there are also drawbacks that we should no overlook. It is important that complementary policies are drawn out and be enforced such that in the near future, appropriate visibility, use and control of medical information can be achieved.
